What is Encaustic wax? Encaustic wax is an ancient medium of heated beeswax, damar resin, and pigments that create a luminous, textured, and durable surface. The versatility of encaustic wax is perfect for mixed media art as it allows surfaces to be sculpted, layered and embedded with a diverse array of media and materials. When I began working with encaustic wax in 2017 it quickly became my favorite medium. I use it in my art practice ​nearly every day! Mentorship Description– Through one-to-one guidance the Encaustic Wax Sessions provide participants with a comprehensive encaustic mentorship of exploration that builds technical skill​s and design confidence​.

Each Encaustic Wax Session is tailored to the skills, needs and objectives of the participant and is three hours in length.
