One-Day Gel-Plate Mixed Media Workshop  ‘Printing with Gold Leaf’

Saturday, March 28, 2026 – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Prairie Studio 315, Saskatoon.

Workshop Description – Artisans have a long history of using gold leaf to elevate (gild) the surface of objects. In gel-plate printing, the addition of gold leaf to the plate introduces areas of shine, brightness, and a heightened interest to the design elements of the monoprint. Workshop participants will use micro-thin sheets of gold leaf to bring the unique qualities of gilding to their monoprints.

The class size is limited and a wait list will be in place for the workshop once the workshop has hit capacity. A full refund is offered up to 30 days prior to the workshop start date. No refund offered after that. This workshop is best suited to those with some basic gel-plate printmaking experience.
