ABOUT
Hello! I am Bobbi Clackson-Walker, a mixed media artist and art educator based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the Treaty six Territory of Canada. I was born, raised, and have lived in this area my entire life, and its pull and influence are evident in the visual expressions I create of the prairie environment that surrounds me.
My mixed media practice is focused in printmaking, specifically monoprinting (one-of-a-kind prints), which I like to explore further by altering the printed surface with hand-coloring, cutting, collaging, and incorporating layers of encaustic and cold wax.
I use several relief printing methods in creating my monoprints. Current favorites are printing from hand-carved wax plates and gel-based printing plates. Each printing method creates its own unique visual signature, something that inspires and encourages me to further engage with the monoprint.
I hope you find a handcrafted monoprinted piece from my PRAIRIE ANTHOLOGY SHOP that intrigues and engages you. There is a contact form below if you would like to get in touch, and I hope that you do!
